  • Object storage – the data is broken into discrete units called objects and is kept in a single repository.   • Block storage – chunks data into organized volumes and stores them as separate pieces wherever is most convenient. It’s ideal to extend volume capacity as needed and works well with enterprises that deploy huge databases for demanding workloads, with 99.999% availability. Use case : OS, database.
  • File storage – it is the most widely used data storage system, any time you access documents saved in files on your personal computer, you use file storage. If files are to be made available for multiple users, File Storage is the right solution. It is also ideal for archiving files. Use cases: sharing user data, web content.
